Brian Kennedy, MSFS, is a California-based, court-qualified expert in reconstructing the events which have occurred at crime scenes using blood evidence. He has been practicing bloodstain pattern interpretation since 1984 and teaching this discipline for over 17 years. His Master's Degree is in Forensic Science. Retired in 2002 as a Sergeant from the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department, Brian has nearly 33 years as a deputy sheriff. Brian has extensive skill in forensics and investigations and brings a multi-disciplinary perspective to his cases drawing on experience in two agencies which includes five years in crime scene investigations, six years in general investigations, and four years as a child abuse investigator which included child death investigations. By using bloodstain pattern analysis in crime scene reconstruction, Brian provides the necessary insight to focus on specific forensic issues. This insight can be used to strengthen interview and interrogation strategies.
